Maintenance of Regalia and Articles

After prolonged use, your regalia may become dirty or worn. That is why it is extremely important to take good care of your products.
For this reason, we have compiled a number of maintenance tips for you on this page to ensure that your regalia continues to look good for many years to come.

Most mantling, cords, sashes, and collarettes are made from moire regalia fabric. Leather or faux leather is also used in mantling. This is a natural product and will naturally crease over time. Exposure to a lot of natural light will also cause your sash to discolor over time. Ribbons, embroidery, and fringes are also subject to creasing and crushing if not stored with care.
Certain regalia can be cleaned. We recommend having this done with a special machine. A wet cloth can sometimes cause stains to appear. After cleaning, there is no guarantee that the product will be 100% clean. We can have your regalia professionally cleaned. Please contact us for more information. contact
Always store the sash flat. We therefore recommend that you always store your regalia in one of ourRegalia Cases or Bags. Do not fold it, as this can cause creases, damage, permanent lines, or tears in the embroidery. When storing your sash, we recommend covering it with a protective piece of material to separate it from other regalia or items in your case or bag.

Other articles

We recommend not washing Regalia, ties, and bags in the washing machine. These items can only be cleaned where they are dirty, for example with a cloth or a special cleaning service.
Gloves, socks, pocket squares, etc. can be washed with lukewarm water. It is important that they are not washed at too high a temperature to prevent discoloration. If washing in a washing machine, make sure to use a laundry bag. Embroidery on gloves can be damaged in a washing machine.
Items that have been washed cannot be returned.

Metal articles

Like most metal parts and jewellery, tarnish can occur on the decorations on lapels, regalia parts and breast jewellery. Do not use chemical cleaners to clean your jewellery or metal items. The engraving on your chest jewellery may be damaged. The ribbon and metal may also change colour if you apply products not intended for certain metals.

We recommend that you clean metal surfaces without cleaning products. A gentle wipe with a microfibre cloth is sufficient. This will bring back the lustre of your jewellery or metal articles.
