editionand this sunglasses emphasises a strong personalityand has same elegant and timeless design of their best known iconthe 649.

Since 2013, the Vintage Celebration project has explored Persol's immense historical heritage and each year it has inspired the creation of new colours and textures for frames with the brand's unique, timeless allure, a symbol of Italian excellence, craftsmanship, and enrichment of the acetate range for its iconic models.

In this new edition, Vintage Celebration adds a new, exclusive colour to the Havana acetate shades that have been presented in recent years. The name: Madreterra (Mother Earth), united the natural elements in a beautiful combination for this unique creation.

Madreterra, rediscovered in the Persol archives and finally brought to light again, is a bright and tortoise-shell havana reminiscent of the proud, glowing heart of the earth, made of full and deep colours, warm tones and strong contrasts.

Madreterra joins a Persol icon: the 649. The Persol 649 sunglasses, designed in 1957 for tram drivers in Turinbecame part of Italian design history, the protagonist of a perpetual success and beloved by personalities in the world of culture and film.

This exclusive colour is available for original 649 style and 2 derivatives from thisthe optical model PO9649V, and the sunglasses PO9649S. The 2 glasses are offered offered with lenses in 3 different tones: soft light brown, polarised light blue and green.

Vintage Celebration comprises nine colour harmonies. Madreterra enriches the palette of five "original Havana" colours inspired by natural elements of the earth: Tabacco Virginia, Miele, Terra di Siena, Caffè and Madreterra The second colour palette, "Contemporary Juxtapositions", combines classic Havana textures in deep, contemporary colours to create four unique combinations with an unexpected touch: Terra e Oceano, Resina e Sale, Ebano e Oro, Fuoco e Ardesia.
